I'm excited about our 50th too. I hope this blog can give us a chance to find old friends and stir up interest in the reunion.
Valerie: Wouldn't it be great if everyone who is able would come?
Joyce: How could we forget you? You're on the first page of the Amaranth!

Hi to all my OLA classmates. I am Eileen Lockwood Coombs. I am one of the helpers on the reunion committee. What an exciting year for all of us to be celebrating our 50th reunion and it also leaves us thinking its not possible that we are out of school 50 years.
Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Hi everyone! And "thanks" to Mary Heimert for setting up this blog.

I am Carol Lamping Drees, married to Albert for 43 years, with 5 children and 10 and a half grandchildren.

Albert and I are currently "on the road" in our motorhome on the Florida Keys, and not missing the snow and ice back in Cincinnati.

I am also working on our 50th reunion and hope we have a great turn out of former classmates.

Hope to see more comments on this blog soon.

Hi again,

I just saw Mary's comments on snow days. I, also, do not remember staying home on those days. I picked up the "78" bus on Anthony Wayne at Hartwell Avenue. The thing I remember the most was another girl who waited for the bus there and she never had her ears covered in the winter. They were always a bright red. Brr! Couldn't have been an OLA girl! We were smart enough to know to keep our ears covered.
